Whatagraph alternative for agencies that want the reporting done, not another platform to run
A good Whatagraph alternative depends on who you want to do the reporting work. Choose Whatagraph if you want a marketing data platform with a data hub, AI agents and BigQuery transfers, and you have people to run it on an annual plan. Choose a managed service like reportfor.agency if you want a team to build, check and write your client reports, billed per client with 30 days' notice to cancel.
Whatagraph has grown past a report builder. Its home page now calls it "the marketing intelligence platform that lets you connect, define, and trust your data everywhere." That is a strong product for teams that want to own their data model. It also means more setup and more decisions for the person who runs it. This page helps you decide if that person should be on your team or on ours.
Three questions to answer before you switch
- How long do you want to commit? Whatagraph's Max plan is listed as billed annually. Our service has no minimum term after setup. You cancel any time with 30 days' notice.
- Who owns the data store? In Whatagraph, data lives in its Data Hub, and "Transfer to BigQuery & Looker" is listed on the Prime plan. With us, each client's data sits in your own cloud account, usually a BigQuery project, from day one. We set it up if you have none.
- Who does the work each week? Whatagraph gives your team tools, including AI agents. We give you a team: data engineers and marketing analysts who build and run the reporting, so your marketing team does not build reports.
Where Whatagraph is strong
Credit where it is due. According to Whatagraph's own site, you get:
- Data Hub. Store, clean and transform marketing data, with custom metrics, custom dimensions, source blending and currency conversion.
- IQ Agents. AI agents that "build reports, update them, and flag what's off on the same data you already trust."
- Whatagraph IQ. IQ report creation, IQ themes, IQ summary and IQ chat on both plans.
- 50+ integrations, including Facebook Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok.
- Sharing by link, dashboard, email and Slack, plus white-label reports and an MCP connection to AI tools.
The Max plan also includes a dedicated Success Manager, per the pricing page. For an agency with an in-house data lead, this is a serious toolkit.
How Whatagraph prices, and how we price
As listed on 20 Oct 2026 (pricing page), Whatagraph has two plans:
- Max: from €999 per month, billed annually. Credits from 50. Includes white-label reports, IQ Agents, KPI overviews with alerts and a dedicated Success Manager.
- Prime: custom price, billed annually. Adds premium integrations, a custom report domain, public API access, transfer to BigQuery & Looker, priority support, tailored onboarding and an enterprise SLA.
The pricing FAQ says "each source costs 1 credit, regardless of plan," where one credit is one connected data account, such as one Facebook Ads account. We did not find a free trial or USD prices on that page.
We price per client, not per source. Each client is $99 per month and covers up to 4 ad platforms. GA4 and Search Console cost nothing extra. A CRM counts as 1 of the 4. There is a $997 one-time setup fee per agency and a minimum of 5 clients.
Whatagraph vs reportfor.agency
| Whatagraph | reportfor.agency | |
|---|---|---|
| Type | Marketing intelligence platform (software) | Fully managed client reporting service (people + software) |
| Pricing unit | Credits: 1 credit per connected source account | Per client: up to 4 ad platforms, GA4 and Search Console included |
| Entry price | Max from €999/month, billed annually (checked 20 Oct 2026) | $99 per client per month, minimum 5 clients ($495/month), + $997 setup |
| Commitment | Plans listed as billed annually | No minimum term after setup; 30 days' notice to cancel |
| Data storage | Whatagraph Data Hub; BigQuery & Looker transfer on Prime | Your own cloud account, usually a BigQuery project |
| AI role | IQ Agents and IQ features build, update and summarize reports | Code calculates every number; AI drafts the words, never the numbers; AI sees campaign totals only |
| Human review | Your team reviews; Success Manager supports the account | An analyst checks every report; your account manager approves and sends |
| Client deliverables | Reports and dashboards your team designs | Daily-checked live white-label dashboard, Monday written report with client email, 1-page monthly review PDF |
| Data checks | KPI overviews with alerts | Fresh and complete checks; totals compared with Google Ads, Meta, GA4 and other sources on a fixed schedule |
| Guarantee | Enterprise SLA on Prime | First report within 7 days of access, or setup fee back; client finds a wrong number first, that client's month is free |
Cost example: 12 clients
Say you have 12 clients and each one runs Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn and GA4. In Whatagraph that is about 48 connected source accounts, so 48 credits. That fits inside the Max plan's starting 50 credits.
Whatagraph Max
€999 /monthStarting price, billed annually, as listed on 20 Oct 2026 (pricing page). Add a client or source past 50 credits and you need more credits. Your team still builds the reports, defines the metrics, reviews the AI output and writes to clients.
reportfor.agency
$1,188 /month12 clients × $99, plus $997 one-time setup. GA4 does not count toward the 4 ad platforms. Our team builds and runs the reporting. You review and send. See pricing.
The two prices are in different currencies, so we do not convert them here. The bigger difference is not the line item. It is the annual commitment on one side, and the weekly team time you keep or give away on the other.
When Whatagraph is the better choice
- You have a data or reporting lead in-house who wants to design the data model and own it.
- You want AI agents inside one platform to build and update reports, and your team will review them.
- You also serve ecommerce brands or multi-location operators and want one data hub across all of them.
- You need a public API, a custom report domain or an enterprise SLA, and can take a Prime plan.
- You are happy with an annual contract and want a dedicated Success Manager.
When a managed service is the better choice
Pick a managed service when you want the outcome, not the toolkit. You get a data team for your client reporting, without the hire. Hiring a data engineer and an analyst costs about $190,000 a year in US base pay (US Bureau of Labor Statistics medians, May 2024: data scientists, market research analysts).
- You do not want to sign an annual software plan before you know the fit. Start with a 1-client pilot: $199 setup plus $99 for the first month.
- You want each client's data in your own cloud account, usually BigQuery, as clean, checked data that is ready for AI.
- You want a person, not only an AI agent, to check every report before it reaches your account manager.
- You want daily Slack alerts when spend, cost per conversion or conversions move more than 20%.
- You want to connect your own AI tools to the same checked numbers as your reports. We set up the data, not the AI tools.

Switching from Whatagraph
If you are on an annual plan, you can plan the move around your renewal date. Start a pilot client before renewal, compare the output, then decide. Our onboarding runs on a fixed plan: day 1–2 connect, day 3–7 first report, day 8–12 brand and tune, day 14 go live. We go live in 14 days for up to 20 clients. Every setup is documented, so you are not tied to one person.
Questions about Whatagraph alternatives
Is there a cheaper Whatagraph alternative for a small agency?
For software only, there are lower-priced tools. For a managed service, our minimum is 5 clients at $495 per month plus a $997 setup fee. Whatagraph lists Max from €999 per month, billed annually.
Do you use Whatagraph to pull data?
No. We use connectors such as Supermetrics, Windsor.ai and Coupler.io to move data into your own cloud account, usually BigQuery.
Does your AI write the numbers in reports?
No. Code calculates every number. AI drafts the words only. AI sees campaign totals only, no personal data, and the data is not used to train AI. An analyst checks every report.
Which sources do you support?
GA4, Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Search Console and CRM.
What do we keep if we cancel?
You keep the data, dashboards and documentation. Dashboards keep updating only if you take over the data connector subscription. We help you move it.
Do you talk to our clients?
No. We never contact your clients. Your account manager approves and sends every report. More in our other comparisons.
