DashThis alternative: when you need the weekly report, not only the dashboard
The right DashThis alternative depends on what is missing for you today: a better dashboard, or someone to read it. Stay with DashThis if you want a simple, low-cost dashboard tool and your team has time to explain the numbers to clients. Choose a managed service like reportfor.agency if you want a team to check the data every day and give you a written weekly report for each client.
DashThis does one job and does it clearly: it turns your marketing data into white-label dashboards. Many agencies need exactly that. But a dashboard is not the same thing as a client update. This page explains the difference, compares costs for a 10-client agency, and tells you when each option wins.
A dashboard shows numbers. A report explains them.
Think about the last time a client opened a dashboard and asked, "So is this good?" The dashboard was correct. It still did not answer the question. Someone had to look at the trend, find the reason and suggest a next step.
DashThis helps with part of this. Its home page describes AI Insights that analyze dashboards "to show what's working, what's not, and what to focus on next," and an MCP Connector so Claude and ChatGPT can read your dashboards. Those are useful. A person on your team still decides what to tell the client, checks that the totals are right, and writes the message.
That last step is where reportfor.agency fits. We do the client reporting so your team can do the marketing.
What you get for each client, every month
Every day
A live white-label dashboard with your logo and colors, updated and checked every day. Slack alerts to your team when spend, cost per conversion or conversions move more than 20%.
Every Monday
A written report: key results, reasons, next actions and a ready-to-send client email. Your account manager approves and sends it.
Every month
A 1-page review PDF for the client meeting.
Behind this: code calculates every number, AI drafts the words (never the numbers), and an analyst checks every report. See the full PPC reporting service.
What DashThis does well
- Easy to start. Preset templates for SEO, social media, PPC and ecommerce reporting, plus a drag-and-drop editor.
- White label on every plan. Custom logo, custom color themes and white-labeled dashboards are listed on all plans on the pricing page.
- Unlimited users and integrations on all plans, with platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Ahrefs and SEMrush.
- Automated email dispatch and PDF export, so dashboards reach clients on a schedule.
- Clear tiers. You pay by number of dashboards. DashThis says a dashboard "is simply one marketing report," and most users create one per client.
DashThis pricing, as listed
From the DashThis pricing page, checked 20 Oct 2026:

Cost example: 10 clients
One dashboard per client means 10 dashboards. That is the DashThis Professional plan.
DashThis Professional
$139 /month10 dashboards and 40 sources, as listed on 20 Oct 2026 (pricing page). Client 11 moves you to the Business plan. Your team still builds each dashboard, checks the data and writes every client update.
reportfor.agency
$990 /month10 clients × $99, plus $997 one-time setup per agency. Includes dashboard, weekly report, monthly review, alerts and data checks. Agency time is usually under 1 hour per client per month, for review. See pricing.
DashThis is far cheaper as software. Our price includes the people. Hiring your own data engineer and analyst costs about $190,000 a year in US base pay (US Bureau of Labor Statistics medians, May 2024: data scientists, market research analysts). The fair comparison is DashThis plus the hours your team spends on reports, against our fee.
When DashThis is the better choice
- Your clients want a dashboard link and do not expect a written update.
- You are a freelancer or a small agency with fewer than 5 clients. The Individual plan starts at $44/mo; our minimum is 5 clients.
- Your account managers like to write client updates themselves and have the time.
- You want to build and change dashboards yourself, the same day, with drag-and-drop.
- Budget is tight and software cost matters more than team hours.
When a managed service is the better choice
Choose a managed service when the dashboard is fine but the work around it is not getting done. For example:
- Clients ask "what does this mean?" and the answer takes your team hours.
- Nobody has time to compare dashboard totals with Google Ads, Meta and GA4.
- A slow drop in results went unnoticed for weeks.
- You want a clear promise: first report within 7 days of read-only access, or the setup fee back. And if your client finds a wrong number before we flag it, that client's month is free.
Switching from DashThis
We build your new dashboards (a web page, Data Studio or the tool that fits the client) and store the data in your own cloud account, so there is nothing to export from DashThis first. You can keep DashThis running until the new setup is live. Onboarding takes 14 days for up to 20 clients: connect on day 1–2, first report by day 3–7, brand and tune on day 8–12, go live on day 14. Then cancel your DashThis plan on your own timing.
Questions about DashThis alternatives
Is reportfor.agency a dashboard tool?
No. We are a fully managed client reporting service. The dashboard is one part. The weekly written report, the monthly review, the alerts and the daily data checks are the rest.
Can my team still edit the dashboards?
Yes. Tell us what to change and we update them. The dashboards read from clean data models in your own cloud account. If you cancel, you keep the data, dashboards and documentation.
What counts as one client?
One client is up to 4 ad platforms. GA4 and Search Console cost nothing extra. A CRM counts as 1 of the 4.
Can you access or change our ad accounts?
We use read-only access only. We cannot change campaigns, budgets or settings. An NDA and DPA are signed before access.
How do I cancel?
Cancel any time with 30 days' notice. There is no minimum term after setup. Dashboards keep updating only if you take over the data connector subscription, and we help you move it.
How do you compare with other tools?
See our other comparisons.
